Here is a short video of a trip I took to the Barbados Wildlife Reserve. It is supposed to be where you can get up close and personal with monkeys, but unfortunately my timing was not very good. Still, there is a gigantic snake, lots of turtles, and some hidden crocs and some other weird lookin' animals.
Feeding time! This was amazing!
A quick look at the amazing animals you'll encounter at Barbados Wildlife Reserve including parrots, monkeys, deer, rabbits, turtles, and snakes.
My girlfriend and I visited the Barbados Wildlife Reserve when we were there. It is an amazing place and only about 15 dollars for the both of us to go inside. You walk around with monkeys, turtles, cayman, birds, lizards and bunch of other animals in this reserve. The monkey's are wild and are free to come and go whenever they please. Best deal in Barbados. If you are there you must visit this place and be there for 2:00 when feeding time is.

We were lucky enough to visit the Barbados Wildlife Reserve...but weren't expecting to see what we saw just before we left! The reserve is filled with lots of local creatures and is well worth a visit if you get the chance! Note: In the video, I mention seeing alligators, in-fact what you're seeing are caimans.
This is just a nice video of some of the animals in the wildlife reserve.
It's a total feeding frenzy

Snakes are elongated, legless, carnivorous reptiles of the suborder Serpentes. Like all squamates, snakes are ectothermic, amniote vertebrates covered in overlapping scales. Many species of snakes have skulls with several more joints than their lizard ancestors, enabling them to swallow prey much larger than their heads with their highly mobile jaws. To accommodate their narrow bodies, snakes' paired organs (such as kidneys) appear one in front of the other instead of side by side, and most have only one functional lung. Some species retain a pelvic girdle with a pair of vestigial claws on either side of the cloaca. Lizards have evolved elongate bodies without limbs or with greatly reduced limbs about twenty five times indepenently via convergent evolution, leading to many lineages of legl...

A favourite place for a day visit whilst in Barbados. Spend time just watching the sea. Take a picnic or have a snack meal in a bar or the old railway station. Walk along part of old track. Bathsheba is situated on the west coast of the island in the Parish of St Joseph. Here the Atlantic Ocean pounds into the shore. Takes some 50 minutes by bus from Fairchild Street Bus Station in Bridgetown. Number 6 bus runs on the hour in each direction
